Case 1: Relapsed CLL in a 71-Year-Old White Male With an 11q Deletion Who is Taking Anticoagulants to Manage Atrial Fibrillation

Chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) is a slow-growing B-cell malignancy that remains incurable. Most patients with CLL relapse or become refractory to treatment. Several newly approved agents have promising clinical activity in CLL, including “difficult-to-treat” populations. Educating oncology health care professionals about choosing between these new therapeutic options to treat patients with CLL will contribute to the effective management of this condition and could help improve patient outcomes.
