Diarrhea:
Indications for: PEPTO-BISMOL
Diarrhea.
Adults and Children:
<12yrs: use children's form. ≥12yrs: 2 chew tabs every 30–60mins as needed. Caplets: take with water; do not chew. 2 caplets every 30mins or 4 caplets every 1hr as needed. Max: 16 chew tabs or caplets per 24hrs. Continue until diarrhea stops up to max 2 days.
PEPTO-BISMOL Contraindications:
Varicella or influenza in children and teenagers.
PEPTO-BISMOL Warnings/Precautions:
Coagulation disorders. Diabetes. Reye's syndrome. Pregnancy. Nursing mothers: not recommended.
