Indications for: SITAVIG
Recurrent Herpes labialis (cold sores) in immunocompetent adults.
Adult Dosage:
Do not crush, chew, suck or swallow tab. Use within one hour after prodromal symptoms onset and before appearance of any signs of H. labialis. Apply one buccal tab as a single dose to the upper gum region (canine fossa) of the affected side; hold with pressure for 30 secs.
Children Dosage:
Not established.
SITAVIG Contraindications:
Allergy to milk protein concentrate.
SITAVIG Warnings/Precautions:
Immunocompromised. Pregnancy. Nursing mothers.
SITAVIG Classification:
Nucleoside analogue.
Adverse Reactions:
Headache, application site pain.
