No ACTH suppression with dexamethasone suppression

Low plasma ACTH
Ectopic ACTH secretion producing Cushing syndrome

No ACTH suppression in the dexamethasone suppression test

For ectopic ACTH-secreting tumors, ACTH elevated, often at higher levels than found in Cushing disease from a pituitary cause
